SUBJECTS  Urban scenes, landscape, the figure

MEDIA  acrylic, ink pen, pastel, pencil, watercolour and oil

I was born and grew up in Putney, south-west London. After leaving schooI, I studied English and Art at Roehampton Institute. I worked in the public sector for approximately 20 years before leaving in 2011 to devote more time to painting and drawing. I paint on location as much as possible using oil, watercolour or pastel in a fairly loose, figurative style. London, with its great range of subject matter, often features in my pictures. I have had work accepted into a number of open exhibitions including the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters’ Annual Exhibition. I also participate in plein air painting events and have won a number of awards. Full details can be found on my website – – and ongoing work can be seen on my Instagram account. I am a member of Chelsea Art Society.
